Leadership Development

The delegates will learn how to motivate and develop teams to continuously improve performance whilst growing own skills in dealing with difficult situations decisively. An awareness of current theory and practice combined with practical exercises during the course will build confidence in management style. Delegates leave equipped with the skills to tackle the team leader role head on.

The in house leadership development training course provides an insight into the differences between a leader and manager, examples of where leadership is really important and help delegates understand their strengths and development areas with our 18-point leadership self assessment questionnaire. Course Features

  • The leadership development training course combines the ‘training in’ of a range of communication and managerial models, with opportunities to practice the models in the ‘safe’ training environment
  • A variety of training methods are used including group discussion, self-diagnostic questionnaire, syndicate work, practical demonstrations and role-play
  • A knowledge/skill checklist is utilised on the course. Delegates rate themselves before and after the training course, to establish the extent to which they have benefited. This also gives the delegate, and their line manager, further analysis of their strength, highlighting any further development needs
  • Prior to delivery of the leadership development course, we would host a telephone meeting to establish the nature of the delegates roles, their strengths and development areas and any aspects you would like us to emphasise.
  • A mini exhibition of management skill books, additional handouts and ‘hints and tips’ sheets will be provided for the delegates to browse during the day.
